激发阅读兴趣,培养阅读理解能力
兴趣是比较好的老师。如何提高学生的阅读兴趣?一是开展精读和泛读相结合的教学。以课文作为精读材料,鼓励学生选择自己感兴趣的阅读材料,进行广泛的阅读。创造必要的阅读条件,为学生扫清阅读障碍。为了提高学生的阅读积极性,克服阅读困难,教师有必要对学生的阅读进行一定指导,除了初步扫清词汇障碍外,还可以适当的向学生提供跟材料相关的文化背景、生活经验和专业知识。三是遵循阅读教学的“有序性”原则,不急于求成,体现由易到难、由表及里、由低层次到高层次研究的教学设计,选择多样化和趣味性强的材料,做到阅读和欣赏相结合。四是教师就如何激发学生英语阅读兴趣做一些行之有效的尝试。如,设立英语阅读兴趣小组;开展丰富多彩的读书活动;充分利用实物、图片、道具、教具、幻灯、录像等。有的学生阅读时习惯发出声来读或心里默念,甚至用笔或手指点着一个词一个词念,这些阅读方式会大大降低阅读速度。因此,教师应指导学生把注意力集中在文字符号上,帮其养成默读的习惯,以提高阅读速度。有些学生习惯于来回往返阅读,或一眼看一个单词,这样逐词阅读不仅速度慢,而且很难一下子抓住全句意思。而以意群为单位阅读,不仅速度快,且能很快抓住全句的意思。因此,教师应该训练学生整句或成组视读。有些学生在阅读过程中,一遇到生词时便查字典,这样会影响阅读速度和理解。教师应该鼓励学生在遇到生词时利用上下文、构词法等来猜测,判断它的词义。教师要根据书面信息设置情景、诱发兴趣、提出问题,所提问题要有阶梯性,层层递进,让学生有目的、有需要地去阅读。对于有些短文,让学生自己说出对这一材料的理解,老师可以适当给予帮助,以鼓励的方式对学生理解进行评价,保护学生阅读理解的积极性,使学生始终处于积极状态,有助于阅读速度和理解能力的提高。
