词汇教学不仅仅要让学生掌握语音、语义及其在文中的用法,还要让学生知道其正确的搭配关系和形式以及词的语法特征,更要让学生掌握词的各种规则,如构词规则、使用规则,甚至要让学生掌握在词背后的文化内涵,以期达到让学生掌握词汇、使用词汇并会据此自我学习、自我扩充词汇的目的。因此在英语教学过程中如何有效地进行词汇教学,从而培养学生的思维能力,使学生主动、自觉地记单词,是我们每个教师应该不断认真思考的一个问题。根据我多年的英语教学实践,结合实际教学中出现的问题,我想谈谈对英语教学中词汇教学的一些思考和尝试。

词汇教学的重要性
词汇是语言的基础,词汇量的大小直接影响英语听、说、读、写能力的发展,学生只有具备了足够的词汇量,才能读懂和听懂,并为说和写奠定基础。有研究表明:高水平的英语写作者都掌握大量的英语词汇。用英语表达时,词汇水平对英语写作有直接影响。还有研究表明:学生掌握词汇量的多少与阅读速度成正比。词汇量越大,阅读中读到的生词越少,阅读速度就越快,理解程度就高,反之亦然。据了解,目前中学英语教学中,词汇教学仍然是个薄弱环节,这种状况与词汇教学在整个英语教学中的重要性形成了强烈的反差。
但是要记住,即使使用叙述形式的写作方式,开头段落还是应该包括中心观点和说明性的句子。
