存在这种误区的原因很复杂,大致可归结为两方面:一方面是教师的师道尊严思想较严重,认为课堂就是教师的天下,应该教师说了算,于是上课搞“一言堂”,压制学生中与自己不同的意见。另一方面是教师缺乏敬业精神,备课不充分,不能根据学情和教学内容灵活设计小组合作教学的教学过程,千篇一律。
2.教师是课堂的“放羊人”
新课改要求,学生是英语学习的主人。在课堂上,教师不能越俎代庖,应充分发挥课堂的组织、调控作用。但许多教师由于对学情把握不准,要求过高,任务过于笼统,或过度相信学生,过度给予学生自由,导致把小组合作教学搞成了“放羊式”的教学模式。一上课,教师只讲三言两句,就让学生进行小组合作学习,自己则悠闲地坐在讲台上,根本不参与学生的学习过程,放任自流。在这样的环境下,学生得不到引导,讨论不深入,流于形式,学习效果自然不会好。
3.教师是知识的
知名教育家陶行知先生说:“学高为师,身正为范。”许多老师固守成规,认为自己就应该是知识的,自以为是。但随着现代网络技术的发展,学生获取知识的渠道越来越多,更加有自己的主见,而且家长中不乏高学历者,知识型家长越来越多,教师的知识受到很大挑战。如果教师不能及早转变角色,难免会在学生面前出错丢丑。
三、小组合作教学模式中的教师角色定位
新一轮基础教育课程改革中,一个重要的教育理念是“教师是学生学习的引导者和组织者,同时又是教学活动的合作者、参与者。在小组合作学习中,教师与学生的关系是一种合作、互动的关系。英语教师应转变教学理念,在小组合作学习中找准自己的角色。在小组合作学习中,教师角色应定位为:
1.学生学习的“指导者”
在小组合作教学中,教师在充分发挥学生的主体作用的同时,要及时引导学生,随时提供必要的提示、指导、示范,鼓励学生积极投入小组的英语交际活动;还要时刻把握小组讨论的方向。如,在小组讨论中,教师不可以用“双方观点都有道理”之类的话来化解纷争,应该引导学生思考而不是做“和事佬”,通过比较、分析、总结,后达成共识,让小组讨论的问题出现“柳暗花明又一村”的效果。
2.小组合作的“参与者”
教师是学生学习活动的组织者,更是学习活动的参与者。小组合作学习应构建民主、平等、和谐的师生关系,使师生之间的沟通与合作、互动与交往更加积极融洽,有效缓解学生与教师沟通的心理障碍,提高参与小组活动的积极性和主动性。
3.小组活动的“激发者”
在小组合作教学中,教师对一些具有启迪学生思维和教育意义的问题,要善于激发,让学生展开讨论,通过讨论,让学生得到感悟,强化学生对文本的理解和体会。此外,在小组合作学习过程中,教师要仔细倾听小组学生的讨论,记录出现的典型错误,适时地指出学生在英语语言活动中出现的错误,并及时更正,帮助学生走向成熟。还要对个别注意力不集中的学生予以关注,及时提醒他们重新参与到小组学习,并向他们提供个别指导。
4.合作结果的“评估者”
一个科学的学习评价,不仅要考查学生对知识的掌握,更要重视学习过程和体验,对学生发展的各个方面都给予关注,尤其要在学生学习的方法、态度、情感、价值、信心等方面做出激励性评价,使每一个学生都形成持续发展的能力,促进学生积极主动地发展。
